Australia 1955 Perth Mint Proof Halfpenny
Struck by the Perth Mint in 1955 for collectors and investors, the 1955 halfpenny does not feature the usual dot after "Y" of halfpenny as so many other coins minted at the Perth Mint.
A small number of just 301 proofs were originally offered for sale at a premium by the Perth Mint in Australia and abroad - especially the United States of America where a lot of these coins were purchased.
