Bolivia 2025 200 Years of Independence Trial/Test Note
In August 2025, the Banco Central de Bolivia (BCB) released a polymer commemorative note to mark the 200th anniversary of Bolivia’s independence.
Originally intended to circulate as a 200 bolivianos banknote, the project was halted amid internal political pressures. By that time, the design work had already been completed, so the BCB chose to issue the note in a commemorative form—without any denomination printed on it. As a result, the note carries no monetary value and is not recognized as legal tender.
