2007 Proof Set - Surf Lifesaver

To commemorate the Year of the Surf Lifesaver the Royal Australian Mint released this proof year set as a tribute to the icon of Australian beaches. The Surf lifesaving organisation has over 113 000 members and saves over 500 000 lives around Australia.

The set includes a special one dollar coin featuring a spectacular image of a team rescue. The coin was not released for general circulation.
